As many fans eagerly anticipated, Stalker 2 finally hit the shelves earlier this week. While reactions from the gaming community have been mixed, many players have jumped on board through Steam. GSC Game World has announced on their Steam page that a preliminary post-launch patch will roll out within the week.

Main story progression will be smoother, eliminating pesky interruptions like NPCs getting lodged in objects or misplaced quest markers. Plus, there are tweaks on the way for gameplay, such as adjustments to NPC actions and weapon pricing. Some cutscene and graphic edits are also on the list. Toward the post’s end, they noted a few lingering issues planned for future patches.
