Okay, so here’s my take — brace yourself, it’s gonna be a wild ride:
—
Today, is, like, that day. You know? The day when Honkai: Star Rail finally decided to hook up with Fate/stay night. If you’ve been camping out for some juicy collab action, well, grab your popcorn. This freebie RPG suddenly got a lot more… Fate-ish.
Patch 3.4 just blew in, and it didn’t just bring visual novel vibes (which are cool, I guess). It’s like a gift box but for gamers.
Oh, and — there was a livestream back in June that spilled all the beans (love those by the way, spill the tea kinda energy). Apparently, everyone’s drooling over these two guest stars from Fate/stay night. Two, because why have one when you can have a pair, right?
Cool thing — or maybe not so — there’s no deadline for this mash-up. Rumor has it, it’ll hang around until November. But, hey, rumors are like leaves in the wind. Who knows?
Speaking of stars, Saber struts into Honkai: Star Rail as this 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. Archer tags along too, being all Quantum/Hunt-ish. Funny tidbit? Archer’s a freebie if you log in during the event. Deal! Saber, though, is playing hard to get. Typical, right?
Launch day, folks, comes with not one, not two, but four banners. Four! For Saber, Archer and their magical cones (which are not ice cream cones, unfortunately). Here’s the kicker — no boosted drop rates for 4-stars. Nada. But after 200 warps? At least you get Saber’s light cone.
Pause for a sec — anyone else find it a bit interesting that none of these Fate characters have English voices? Not a peep. MiHoYo looking at you with raised eyebrows.
For added spice, there’s a whole new Trailblaze thingy called, get this, Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. For 30 days (till August 11 — mark the cal), you can dive into a combat challenge. Rewards up for grabs, but a heads-up, some are here today, gone tomorrow.
Early July saw some new characters crash the party. Phainon, remember him? Yeah, he’s playable now. Also a 5-star wallop with Physical/Destruction jazz. More stars, more fun, right?
Reruns also kicked off with 3.4 on July 2. Tribbie and the gang made comebacks. Phase 2? July 23 brings back Firefly (with snazzy new digs), Jingliu, and Blade.
Oh, oh! And some schmancy upgrades rolled out for Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade. Jingliu’s rerun — timed perfectly with those upgrades. Talk about a glow-up.
And scene.
