You know, KIWI Design just popped out something new — the K4 Duo. It’s a head strap, but not just any head strap. This one’s got audio and a battery for Quest 3. I guess people like fancy tech for their VR nowadays, right?
So, here’s a bit of what’s happening. It works with both Quest 3 and 3S. Makes sense, right? Anyway, they call it the ‘K4 Duo AIO Audio Head Strap with Battery.’ Quite a name, isn’t it? You can twist those “all-in-one” speakers around to wherever you like. Plug it into the USB-C, and bam, you’re switching audio between the headset and the strap like some DJ.
Then, there’s this 2650mAh battery thing they’ve got going on. Weighs about 459 grams, which uh, I don’t know, feels neither here nor there. Similar tricks like their other head straps with the tightening wheel at the back. Oh, and dual charging — for the headset and the battery. Plus, there’s comfy memory foam padding and a top strap deal. Comfy is good, right? Or maybe it’s overrated. Who knows.
I need to play with it a bit more to decide if it earns a spot on the ‘best of’ Quest 3 and 3S accessories list. We’ve been through KIWI’s stuff before and usually dig it. Last year, the K4 Boost Battery Strap was our top pick. No idea if this one will dethrone it.
