Alright, so Amazon’s having its big Prime Day bash. Last chance to grab, well, let’s call it a steal, in the VR gaming scene. Quest 3S, which popped up last October, usually runs you $300 for the 128 GB model, and $400 for 256 GB. Does the same VR and mixed reality games thing as the Quest 3, but this one’s a bit chunkier—and easier on the wallet.
But hey, today’s your lucky day—get either one for less. Like, $250 and $330 kinda less. Oh, also, random side note: There’s this picture making the rounds of someone rocking the 3S. Just a pic, nothing too crazy about it, but yeah, thought I’d mention.
Right, so there are bundles too—kind of a mixed bag. The 128 GB one throws in this Gorilla Tag software thingy, which, I guess, is big in VR land. Plus, you get 1,000 Shiny Rocks. No clue what those do, but they sound shiny, right?
And, the 256 GB comes with this Batman game that’s supposedly an exclusive. Or not, ‘cause Meta’s tossing it in with both variations.
Oh, watch yourself with those hardware bundles. They’ve got stuff like Elite Straps and Quest Link Cables in there, but they’re not exactly a bargain compared to getting them separately.
Also, fun fact: This isn’t the lowest price drop ever. Last November’s Black Friday had the 128GB for $300 and a $75 gift card. But yeah, still not bad if you’re diving headfirst into virtual worlds with stuff like Asgard’s Wrath 2, BEHEMOTH, or the less-than-sunny Metro Awakening. And, for you die-hard VR folks, hook up to a PC and you can get in on classics like Half-Life: Alyx or Skyrim VR.
If you’re still noodling over it, maybe peek at our in-depth review of the Quest 3S. Spoiler: at $300, it’s quite the catch.
So, get those deals while the clock’s ticking! Or not. Up to you.
