Oh man, Diablo 4 is at it again with the whole “let’s mix things up” vibe in the Sins of the Horadrim season. So, here’s the deal – each class gets this shiny new piece of gear. If you’re into the game, you know this usually means big changes. Some good, some not so much. One class got hit with a dud this time around, and it’s kinda making them look less cool in the grand scheme of things.
Alright, so let’s talk about Rogues and Barbarians for a sec. They got smacked with a nerf to Overpower Damage. Bummer, right? Even though the patch 2.3.1 tried to help, poor Rogue still feels like it’s stuck in the mud when it comes to endgame challenges in Season 9. Meanwhile, Barbarians are living it up with their Hooves of the Mountain God boots. And the Rogue? Their new toy, the Deathmask of Nirmitruq, didn’t exactly hit the jackpot.
Now, here’s where things get wild. These Season 9 uniques generally rock – each class got a pretty nifty toy. Want a quick peek? Okay:
– Hooves of the Mountain God for Barbarians.
– Rotting Lightbringer for Druids.
– The Hand of Naz for Necromancers.
– Deathmask of Nirmitruq for Rogues.
– Ophidian Iris for Sorcerers.
– And Balazan’s Maxtlatl for the Spiritborn.
The Spiritborn’s pants are legit. They’re tearing up the meta with crazy Poison Damage. The Hydra Sorcerer’s staking a claim too, thanks to Ophidian Iris. Even Necro’s got a nice bump, letting minions shine. Druids? Yeah, they’re doing alright with their mace. But Rogue with their Deathmask? Not so much. It kinda just sits there, not helping much, like an unused gym membership.
If you’re desperate to make the Rogue work, folks still lean on the same old builds. Penetrating Shot Rogue, Twisting Blades Rogue, you get the idea. Tried and true stuff that still banks on the Azurewrath sword and Heir of Perdition helm. But this season, the fresh mask they got is just collecting dust while everyone waits for the magical new update in Season 10. Sigh. Always waiting for that next big fix, right? Ah well, every underdog has its day… or so they say.
