Okay, so picture this: you’re cruising through Clair Obscur, and who’s just standing there like a boss? Yep, it’s Maelle.
By Act 3, she’s got this whole skill tree unlocked, like bam—magic. And honestly, these abilities are just insane. Before they patched the game, Maelle’s Stendhal move made things way too easy. Sandfall even joked about it on X (kinda used to be Twitter, just fyi). Picture dealing literal billions in damage—yeah, Maelle could just blink and poof, enemies gone.
Even after they toned her down, she’s still the queen of chaos. Just, you know, dancing through fights, barely breaking a sweat. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just her cheerleader, setting things up for her with other characters. Like, let’s burn some baddies with Lune, so Maelle can do her Swift Stride thing and boom, Virtuoso Stance! Double the damage, every time. In those massive, never-ending battles, it’s a guilty pleasure to watch her ramp up those damage stats.
And hey, there are folks out there who just wanna see how far this can go. It’s not just about winning—they wanna shatter the game’s boundaries. Maelle’s all famous for this, but don’t sleep on Sciel. She’s swinging that scythe like it’s made for breaking stuff, and yep, she’s right up there too.
So, we’ve got Maelle and Sciel just being legendary. Sure, Lune can rack up numbers but, like, she’s a healer extraordinaire and not really about that single-target power smash. Verso’s got this whole Perfection thing—I’m still kind of at “meh” with it. Monoco? Man, he was tricky to master. Only much later did I figure out his groove. Like, 1.1 billion damage with him? Maybe in another lifetime.
Even though Maelle got her wings clipped back in May, you can still totally wreck things. Sandfall’s showed us and, trust me, tons of players have done it too. It seems fair though, considering the crazy bottlenecks you hit late-game. When you’re up against Renoir’s Drafts, you might need every trick in the book—and then some.
