Alright, so let me just blurt this out. Bandai Namco tossed out this new trailer for—I swear I need to take a deep breath—Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s fresh DLC, Daima – Adventure Through The Demon Realm Part 1. It’s coming out July 17. But what’s even more mind-blowing? The sneak peeks, right? They spill what’s waiting for us in this Demon Realm escapade.
This teaser’s barely a minute, but seriously, it crammed in enough clues like a puzzle on speed. The focus is on the first half of the 20-episode Dragon Ball Daima anime. Characters? Oh, we got Glorio, Shin, Panzy, and of course, Goku. Who else? There’s also this minotaur that Goku and Glorio freak out about, plus a cameo by some Gendarmerie soldiers—just casually popping up like it’s no biggie.
You know what gets me? What they didn’t show! Yeah, all the epic stuff from the latter half of Daima—like Vegeta going Super Saiyan 3, and Goku getting a shiny new form. I’m not spilling that tea. Spoilers! Like, if you’re waiting on the English dub, you’re safe here. It’s a bit like with Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero’s Daima DLC, where fans are practically biting their nails waiting for the big reveals which, spoiler alert: they’re holding back for the next DLC. Oh, and no Tamagami sighting in the trailer, so who knows if Goku’s fight with Tamagami 3 shows up in this DLC or not.
Odd thing, right? The trailer’s tossed up on Bandai Namco’s U.S. YouTube, yet it’s rocking Japanese voices. Just like Daima characters in Sparking! Zero. So, the DLC’s rolling out in Japanese, and we’re all just twiddling our thumbs for an English dub. Who knows when that’ll drop though. Dragon Ball Daima’s English dub is still trickling out on Crunchyroll—give it a few weeks.
Oh, and guess what else? Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is getting this new physical edition that pairs up with a download code for the Daima DLC. It drops July 18 for $49.99 on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The trailer and box art scream out that the Switch version packs in A New Power Awakens DLC—remember the early Dragon Ball Super goodies? Super Saiyan God and Blue for Goku and Vegeta are back, but PS5 players, no dice. You’re missing out.
