Why Fortnite Should Reinstate This Unique Feature

Remember those quirky little additions that pop up and then disappear before you even figure out how to use them? One word: Augments. Yeah, those. Gone but not forgotten!

Picture this: a Fortnite season rolls around, and boom! You’re thrust into a Star Wars bonanza. Yoda’s probably giving lightsaber lessons somewhere. Anyway, it’s not the first time. Darth Vader’s out there doing whatever Sith Lords do, and meanwhile, we’re juggling new weapons like they’re going out of style. I guess they sort of are? Every season is like a mixed bag of candy. You don’t quite know what’s in it, but you’re ripping it open anyway.

So, back to Augments. Those quirky little gremlins showed up in Chapter 4, and they were like a wildcard tossed into your game. Every couple of minutes, bam! You get to pick between two perks, and they’re as random as a dice roll. Some make you a beast, others make you fly (okay, not really, but balloons were involved). It’s like a surprise party every match – who doesn’t love those?

The Augments were a breath of fresh air, honestly. Like, take “Party Time.” You’re suddenly generating balloons. Why? No clue. But you’re bouncing around like you’re on a sugar high. And don’t get me started on “Aerialist.” Completely changed the game, redeploying gliders mid-air. Useful or just plain nuts? Maybe both.

And then, poof! Like a magician’s rabbit, they disappeared. Why? Heck if I know. Sometimes Fortnite surprises you with their decisions. Like that one time I wore mismatched socks on purpose, felt like everyone noticed? Probably no one did, but it felt important at the time.
