Wadjet Eye Games just dropped a date for when Old Skies hits the Nintendo Switch, and let me tell you, I’m kind of buzzing about it. So, here’s the deal: you’re Fia Quinn, right? And you’re basically a time cop. Yeah, sounds cool already. You work for ChronoZen and you’ve got these seven travelers who’re all like, “Hey, let’s go look at some old stuff!” They’ve got the cash, so why not?
Some of these folks are curious cats. Others seem to have… issues to sort out. Your gig? Keep them happy and — big job here — make sure they don’t mess up the timeline too badly. Because really, what’s the worst that could happen when you’re messing with time?
The creators gave us some deets on what to expect. Time periods galore! Speakeasies from back in the day, Gilded Age gangs, and you’ll even be around on the morning of 9/11. Heavy stuff, huh?
And the graphics? We’re talking high-res goodness — way sharper than Unavowed. Not that I’m complaining. There are puzzles too, but put on your thinking cap ’cause you gotta think about time in a whole new way to solve these. Oh, and death. You can die — but because of time travel, you get a do-over! Groundhog Day style, I guess.
Music-wise, you get tunes by Thomas Regin. If you dug the Unavowed and Blackwell series, this is right up your alley. Full voice acting too, with their biggest cast yet. Sounds like they’re all in on this one.
Circle 27 May 2025 on your calendar, that’s when you can snag it from the Nintendo eShop, no matter where you happen to be.
And there’s a trailer! Go watch it. Or don’t. Up to you!
