Okay, so picture this: a few weeks back, Supergiant Games tossed out what they claimed was the “final” update for Hades 2 before hitting the big 1.0 release. But, given how legendary the first game was, Hades 2 has got some seriously high bars to clear. And guess what? They decided to sneak in another patch because, well, perfection is a moving target, right? Still, no clue when that 1.0 moment is happening. Patience is a virtue, I guess.
Hades 2 has been on the “best roguelikes” radar even in its early access days. Still a work in progress, but somehow its spellbinding charm just sucks you in. People might be holding their wallets tight till the big official release. Who can blame them? The last patch, number 10, was teased as the curtain call for updates, but then — surprise! — in rolls Patch 11.
Now, this update isn’t earth-shattering; we’re not talking new planets or anything. It’s more like those small but mighty tweaks that make you wonder how you ever lived without ’em. Three weapons got a tune-up: Umbral Flames got beefier projectiles and faster orbit speed, Moonstone Axe got a damage boost, and Black Coat will make blocking feel slicker. There’s more about weapon Aspects — spoiler alert, though, better not dive too deep if you’re still tiptoeing through the game.
More changes? You’ve got it — over 20 Boons and Blessings got a makeover, shaking up some big names like Zeus, Poseidon, and Icarus. Oh, and Toula, the Cat! Who doesn’t love a feline feature? She’s got better bonuses and doesn’t get stuck as much. I’m sure baffled players everywhere just sighed in relief.
The enemy count in Mount Olympus and the Summit got scaled back a bit because, hey, relentless challenge is fun, but not when it feels like wading through a Greek tragedy. Plus, a little more cover here and there. Thank the gods.
Patch 11 brought a ton of tweaks. Want the whole shebang? The patch notes are your new best friend. It’s probably the last update before we hit 1.0. As the Supergiant crew hinted, “as the Fates would have it, there is indeed this one more.” Expecting any more shocking reveals? Hopefully, just the 1.0 launch date would be nice. Gamescom’s on the horizon — fingers crossed for an announcement?
