Nintendo Releases – November 7, 2024 – Updates

Let’s catch up on the things we overlooked last week: Tecmo’s cleverly titled game, Riot, popped up in the Archives.

In the gaming world, despite the intriguing pricing tactic of a game set at a one-to-one conversion rate between the U.S. dollar and yen to land at $79.99 in the U.S., the standout release this week is undoubtedly Mario and Luigi: Brothership. This fresh spin on the RPG genre is brought to you by the talented team behind Octopath Traveller 2, featuring help from some veteran developers of the internal AlphaDream team. It’s already stirring buzz that it might even be a factor in the downfall of a Sony live service title! Also hitting the scene are the exciting fandisc for Virche: Evermore, which plays on a Logan’s Run theme, a new entry in the River City Saga, now diving into fantasy RPG realms, and the possibly Saudi-backed Metal Slug Tactics.

Among other releases, we have The Alchemist of Arc Magna—yes, it genuinely costs $80 in the U.S.—alongside the Wholesome Direct Special, Magical Bakery, and an intriguing shooter entitled Angel at Dusk. Also making a return is the charming bump-and-run RPG, Xak II on the EggConsole, conveniently presenting little need for English.
