It’s happening, folks – "Towerborne" is hitting Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Xbox Cloud, and Game Pass today. I mean, finally, right? To kick things off for this looter-brawler in Xbox Game Preview, I’ve jotted down a few things that might help you stumble through your Ace adventure. So, here we go!
Get Creative!
Sure, “Towerborne” is easy to jump into, but beneath that simplicity? A whole labyrinth of combat depths – with skills and attacks you’ll only get by fooling around with each of the four classes. Each class has this “theme,” thanks to the weapon type, but honestly, there’s a bunch of ways to play around with them. Thought you’d like one setup? Maybe. But hey, give them all a spin. And the game’s so chill – you can swap classes and re-spec on a whim. It’s like changing socks.
Build It Real
So, here’s the scoop – the new Class Mastery Update gives even more flexibility. You can have endless fun with the new skill trees or whatever suits ya. The Sentinel, for example, can either be wildly quick or practically built like a tank. Maybe you want to deal massive damage, or maybe support your pals? It’s all possible. Here’s a few tidbits I found interesting:
-
Bleed Build: Sentinel focuses on bleeding enemies. Bloodlust gives ya a 10% damage boost on ’em, while Sanguine Burst makes those bleeds explode – literally.
-
Sear Build: Pyroclast sets things on fire, extending the damage – Persistent Pyre comes in handy here. Ember Cyclone and Ember Spike add some flashy maneuvers.
-
Powderkeg Build: Rockbreaker can hit hard, and with Quick Charge, it charges faster. Break an enemy’s bar? Bam! Full charge. Cracking Knuckles helps too – you’re smashing enemies’ blocks and feeling like a champ.
-
Projectile Frenzy Build: Shadowstriker is all about throwing stuff. Shooting Stars = throwing kunai everywhere. Shadow Feint Ammo means more ammo, more fun. And Shadowsting? You don’t teleport, but it costs less – trade-off win.
- Support Build: Healers can be in any class. Boost the healing flasks, carry more of them, and share healing with friends nearby. Handy, right? And you can switch out whenever you like.
Slow Down, Memorize Moves
Gobos, those pesky little things, might not be discreet, but they pack a punch. Take your time when it’s tough. Watch your enemies, see what moves they have. Patterns show up – projectiles, claws, whatever. Dodge, attack, save those Mender’s Flasks for when it gets real wild later in the mission.
Use Their Weapons Against Them
Your foes have gear you can use against them. Sometimes gobos drop bombs if you hit them right – they pray and hope it doesn’t hurt them. Using the environment, like explosive barrels, against them? Chef’s kiss of satisfaction right there.
Umbra Love
Umbra buds are adorable and come packed with useful abilities. Iska, the first one, helps with long-range stuff. Then, you get more like Pox for aerial tricks, or Picus, setting fires all around. Pick one that matches your vibe – or adds a twist to it.
I’m eager to see you in the Belfry. These tidbits should, hopefully, make your plunge into "Towerborne" more fun. Play it now on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC in the Xbox App, Xbox Cloud, Game Pass, and even Steam. Enjoy.
