So, this dude Doug Jung—yeah, the guy who wrote Star Trek Beyond in 2016—is apparently gonna be the mastermind behind this new Mass Effect TV thing. It’s kinda wild, right?
Anyway, I read (somewhere on Deadline or whatever) that he’s not just writing it but also running the whole show. Like, he’s both the brains and… well, the brains. Remember The Cloverfield Paradox? He did that too. Oh, and he wrote a couple of episodes for Mindhunter on Netflix, which is, like, super creepy and also somehow comforting? I don’t know why I thought that. Bizarre, huh?
And if that wasn’t enough, Jung’s tangled up with some Apple+ series called Chief of War. Historical drama or something. A lot on his plate, but hey, maybe the guy thrives on chaos.
Dan Casey, some other writer, is gonna be tagging along as an executive producer. Plus, Michael Gamble from Electronic Arts—you know, the video game stuff—is also hopping on board. It’s like the gang’s all here, practically.
Oh, yeah! Amazon gave a thumbs-up to this Mass Effect series back in November 2024. Weird though, ’cause they haven’t exactly told us when it’s dropping. Typical tease, right?
Meanwhile, they just rolled out the Fallout series, which people have been loving. Like, it’s getting all the applause. And there’s a second season already lined up. Promising start, I guess? Okay, I’m babbling.
That’s all I got, really. So much happening, hard to keep track. Peace out!
