After what felt like an eternity (okay, maybe just a long afternoon), Blizzard finally spilled the beans about when they’re going to give us more Diablo 4 livestream action. It’s all about Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. Kinda catchy, isn’t it? And with the new season kicking off next week, it’s time to catch one last sneak peek.
I mean, sure, if you’ve been poking around the Season 9 PTR — the Public Test Realm for us nerds — you’ve probably seen some stuff already. But there are definitely a couple of juicy tidbits left to check out.
Oh, wait — before I forget, the big show is set for this Friday, June 27. Bit of a curveball from Blizzard, as they’ve usually stuck with Thursdays or something, but hey, it’s their party. The usual kickoff times: 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm BST. You won’t miss it if you’re on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, or even TikTok (because why not?).
They’ve promised a deep dive into all the good stuff: a new seasonal questline, shiny battle pass, some mystical Horadric Spellcraft thingy, and Escalating Nightmares — which sounds like me trying to catch a spider at 3am. They’re also making tweaks based on feedback from that PTR thing, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s actually changed. Or not. Who knows?
Now, as if a bunch of in-game updates weren’t enough, they’re doing some balance changes (again!) and having a chat with a Q&A segment at the end. Nice little sitdown chat called Sanctuary Sitdown — clever, right? Hosted by some cool folks like Nacho and Aislyn Hall, who’ll be answering questions from the wilds of Discord.
Oh, and here’s something outta left field. They’re dangling a little carrot: if you watch the live Twitch stream, you might just snag a free skin. Just 30 minutes of your time for a shiny Lacuni’s Pupil two-handed Sorcerer Staff. I mean, who doesn’t like free stuff?
Anyway — wait — did I mention they’re doing all this just before the new season drops on June 30? Exciting times if you’re into this kind of thing. If you ask me, it’s worth a watch. Or maybe I’ve just had too much coffee.
