Alright, so here’s the thing about Monster Hunter Wilds and this new update, Title Update 2, right? Capcom spilled the beans during their June Spotlight thing. It’s like, a big chunk of that thing was just this update. Lots to unpack there.
First off, there’s a date to circle on your calendar — June 30. That’s when the update drops, but heads up, the game’s going offline for a bit. Maintenance stuff. Fun times.
Now, if monsters are your jam, get ready! They’re adding Lagiacrus and Seregios. Yeah, Lagiacrus means underwater battles. It’s wild! But you gotta finish this mission called A World Turned Upside Down and another one about Forest Doshaguma (Hunter Rank 31 required, by the way).
Seregios is also hopping in at Hunter Rank 31 after the same mission. Plus, check this out — new armor sets from their materials for you and your Palico. And oh, Tempered versions show up at HR 41. Spicy!
Switching gears — Arch-tempered Uth Duna joins on July 30. It sounds like a beast. HR 50 and up, folks. There’s new gear to craft, too. Love me some crafting.
Speaking of, TU2 offers up layered weapons. So, if a weapon looks cooler, you can wrap your stats around its look. Just gotta finish any weapon tree first. Artian Weapons work as layers, but fully reinforce them if they’re Rarity 8.
Oh yeah, you can switch your handler now — from Alma to Erik. And, a new sword and shield support hunter shows up. Handy, right?
Summer vibes inbound with the Festival of Accord: Flamefete. July 23-August 6, mark it. Think new armor, camp decos, and fancy gestures. The Grand Hub even gets a makeover — now with special event meals.
And yeah, there’s a whisper of Title Update 3. September seems the target. Another monster, another festival. Typical Capcom.
Anyway, while we’re here, Wilds has hit a rocky patch. The game was Capcom’s mega-launch but lately, not so much. Numbers are down. Steam reviews? A big ol’ “Overwhelmingly Negative” sticker slapped on it. Yikes.
Kinda curious if this update smooths things out. Fingers crossed, I guess.
