Hey, so I stumbled upon this thing about Meta’s Avatars. Yeah, they’re getting another big update. You’d think they’re done with them, but no—apparently not. Anyway, now there’s a crazy amount of control over stuff like your avatar’s face, body parts, hair, and makeup. Imagine playing with digital Mr. Potato Heads but make it fashion.
These Avatars, by the way, are everywhere. Seriously. Think Horizon Worlds, Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger. All the places you chat with your friends but only when you’re really, really bored, right?
So, US and Canada folks can now mess around with all these new body types. Shoulders, hips, biceps… yeah, they didn’t miss a thing. There’s even this preview mode, like you’re in some virtual fitting room. Can you see it? Altering your avatar’s form before dressing it up?
Oh, and faces! Meta’s face editor is leveling up too. Jawlines, cheeks, face depth—all getting fancy controls. More human-like, I guess? Not sure. They even threw in 18 poses. Picture an army of little striking avatars, ready to vogue. Plus, more clothes. Because, of course.
Then there’s this new AI style tool. Basically, you mumble some gibberish into your phone, and voila! Your avatar looks snazzy. Or weird. It depends, I guess. You still get to tweak it to avoid looking like a digital fashion disaster.
Oh, and Meta says it’s only in the US and Canada for now. But, more updates are coming. Something to look forward to while scrolling, I suppose.
