Okay, so there’s this new Pokemon game, right? Pokemon Legends: Z-A. And guess what’s the first thing they make you do? Yep, you’ve got to pick between these three starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile. They’re supposed to get some fancy new Mega Evolutions, but let’s be real — we don’t actually know if that’s true yet. Rumor mill, you know? Anyway, each one’s different, and some folks are saying one might be the superstar of the bunch.
Now, without actual confirmation about these Mega Evolutions, it’s tricky to figure out which one’s gonna be the king of the hill. But hey, gossip has it that Mega Meganium might turn into a Grass/Fairy type and Mega Feraligatr a Water/Dragon type. Meanwhile, our pal Mega Emboar allegedly sticks to Fire/Fighting. And guess what? That might make it perfect for taking on some of the meanest opponents in the game. The Pokemon Presents thingy mentioned something about this group called the Rust Syndicate being a major hurdle. Sounds like a raid boss if you ask me.
So what makes a great starter Pokémon, huh? Everyone’s got an opinion, but I say it comes down to how it does in big fights — no brainer, I think. Take Gen 1 for instance. Usually, Bulbasaur’s seen as top starter because it gets the edge in a bunch of Gym battles. I mean, Brock, Misty, Erika’s Tangela, Giovanni — all get a taste of defeat, thanks to Bulba. And it resists Lt. Surge’s Electric types too. Talk about a rock star.
Info on the bosses in the Z-A Royale of Pokemon Legends: Z-A? Yeah, it’s scarce. That means choosing the best starter’s a bit of a guessing game. But some leaks — that feel kinda credible — suggest that Emboar could have the upper hand in several big clashes. So, if you’re thinking about going with Tepig, you’re probably onto something good.
Now, here’s the kicker. This Rust Syndicate group, led by some guy named Corbeau, looks like it’s going to be a big deal. The recent Pokemon Presents teased us with a snippet about battles against Corbeau — who, by the way, has Arbok on his team. But surprise, surprise, his ace isn’t Arbok, it’s Mega Scolipede. Bug/Poison type. Emboar would roast it with his Fire moves. Cooked Scolipede anyone?
And then there’s this other Syndicate member — unnamed in the trailer but whispers say his name might be Phillipe. A Steel-type guy apparently. They’ve got Mega Skarmory as their ace — leaked info again. The Syndicate’s HQ background showcases art of Steel types like Steelix and Kingambit. Geez, what’s with their obsession? For Tepig lovers, this is basically jackpot city. Emboar’s got double coverage with Fire and Fighting against these metal heads.
Also, side note — leaked stuff mentions how this guy Jett, another character, has a secretary called Vinnie. He’s using Mega Lopunny as his ace, which is another target for Emboar’s mighty flames and punches.
Okay, that’s a lot of Pokemon chat. Maybe you’re tired. Or maybe you’re psyched to play Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Either way, it’s shaping up to be one heck of a ride.
