Wow, okay… so here’s the deal with PlayStation’s sales. Just when you think it’s over, boom! Another one drops. Right now, there’s this Big Games Big Deals thing happening. Apparently, you could save up to 70% on some killer PS4 and PS5 games. Yeah, we’re talking about a 2017 Game of the Year type of situation here. Which is kind of nuts, right?
So, NieR: Automata — ever heard of it? It’s totally 60% off on PS Store. So instead of coughing up $39.99, you’re only paying $15.99. Bargain, huh? Not to freak you out, but the deal’s only good until like, May 8 at 2:59 a.m. ET. Why so specific with the timing? No clue. But yeah, jump on it, I guess.
Here’s the game’s pitch: creepy invaders from space show up, no warning — pretty rude. And they unleash these machine thingies. So, you get this android infantry called the YoRHa squad to deal with them. NieR: Automata mixes this crazy action with, I dunno, a story that really sticks. People love it for a reason, I suppose.
And if you go for the Game of the YoRHa Edition, it’s packed with extras. DLC, skins, themes — like, too many to list without sounding like a sales bot:
– 3C3C1D119440927 DLC? Sure.
– Play System Pod Skin? Why not.
– Some retro skins and, yep, a Machine Mask Accessory.
– You even get a PS4 Dynamic Theme and a bunch of avatars.
Before you dive in, there’s a free demo on the PS Store. So, try before you buy. Pretty sweet, huh?
When NieR: Automata came out back in 2017, folks couldn’t stop raving. Metacritic gave it an 88, and it snagged awards left and right. Best Score/Music at The Game Awards, Role-Playing Game of the Year, and even the Award for Excellence in Japan. Yeah, no pressure if you haven’t played it. But… lots of folks say it’s a must-play.
I mean, that’s the gist. Or maybe that was a ramble. Who knows.
