Alright, so here’s the thing. I stumbled upon this mind-blowing piece of fan creativity, and I can’t stop thinking about it. So, there’s this bunch of Overwatch 2 enthusiasts — okay, maybe “enthusiasts” is an understatement. Let’s call them fanatics. Anyway, they got together and whipped up a new hero, a damage dealer named Strike, with this wild electricity theme. Seriously, it looks so legit that you’d think Blizzard themselves had a hand in it. Believe me, it’s that convincing.
I mean, the sheer creativity that these gaming communities churn out is insane. Overwatch 2 fans alone — wow, the stuff they’ve put out there. Those Lord of the Rings skins? Pure genius. Or the cosplay scenes? Just makes you want to dive back into the game and really live it, you know?
So, back to Strike. This character was imagined by someone named Zenofy, who’s basically managing the Overwatch Cavalry team. Strike isn’t just some half-baked idea either. Oh no, this hero’s got some seriously thought-out abilities — all risky but rewarding. And the visuals? A fan named Yuli_GameArt joined forces with Zenofy, creating these mock UI elements and gameplay screenshots that are just, well, chef’s kiss. Who even thinks of collaborating like that? Obviously, these folks are on another level of fan dedication.
And it’s not like Strike appeared out of nowhere. This hero’s been on a journey. First, there was some art in 2022, and it just evolved from there. By 2024, we had an in-game render thanks to an artist, PJRascals. I swear, there’s like a dozen folks on this project. All this talent for a character not even in the game. Kind of makes you dream about what could be, right?
I mean, players are practically drooling at the thought of having Strike in Overwatch 2. But alas, it’s all a fan fantasy — yet, anyway. Who knows? Fan support can move mountains, or in this case, maybe get a hero added someday. Or maybe, I’m just dreaming. Who knows? But Zenofy keeps dropping hints about even more stuff, like highlight intros. It’s like when you can’t wait for the next season of your favorite series. The anticipation is everything.
Meanwhile, Overwatch 2’s actual lineup is getting some real updates. There’s this water-themed support hero, codenamed Aqua, expected soon. And some mysterious gladiator-type character is causing a buzz. Feels like we’re on the verge of something big. But, we’ll see where it goes. Doesn’t stop us from dreaming, though. Until then, fingers crossed for more fan wizardry — ’cause who doesn’t love a good electric hero?
