Navigating your chosen character is straightforward. The left analog stick guides your movements, while the Y button is set for standard attacks and the B button releases special maneuvers. Hammering away at these buttons unleashes powerful combos. Jumping is assigned to the A button, and when you combine it with Y or B, you can deliver some impressive aerial strikes. For area attacks, simultaneously press the Y and B buttons. Want to unleash a devastating Breaker attack? Simply hit the X button, but remember it will drain some of your Mana.
Now, with such a thrilling setup, you’d expect a dynamic multiplayer option on the Nintendo Switch, especially in a beat ’em up game, right? Strangely, Maki: Paw of Fury misses the mark here. The lack of co-op play is perplexing, as is the absence of HD rumble feature. Additionally, players might find the limitation to only the left analog stick for movement a bit restrictive. Despite these quirks, the game is available on Nintendo Switch for $10.99, offering a slice of nostalgia at a reasonable price.
