Ah, so Survios is tossing a new edition of Alien: Rogue Incursion to the mix — a flatscreen one. They’re calling it the ‘Evolved Edition’ or something snazzy like that. Now, trying to wrap my head around this: it was all about VR last year, right? PSVR 2, PC VR headsets, and even Quest 3 sneaked in around early ’25. Reviews were kinda all over the place initially. Not-so-fresh Xenomorph behavior, maybe. But then bam, they patched things up, made it less samey with the alien action. Important stuff if you’re into alien encounters.
Anyway — oh, right, now Survios is revamping it for PC and PS5. What’s that gonna look like on good ol’ Steam and the PlayStation Store? We’ll find out at the end of September 2025. It’s got me thinking of Zula Hendricks again. Ex-Colonial Marine, if you recall, chasing after those shifty Weyland-Yutani folks. Some black site experiments or whatever. And then there’s that synth buddy, Davis 01 — off to planet Purdan they go, getting all sneaky in the Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility. Loads of weapons involved. Seems intense, right?
Here’s the kicker: it’s just Part One. Survios gabbing about Part Two like it’s the sequel we didn’t know we needed. Apparently gonna be tougher with deadlier foes. Timing’s all over the place though. Are we gonna wait forever for Part Two? Are they mixing VR with non-VR again? Who knows.
Oh, and side note: Survios has been in this world of flipping VR to non-VR before. Remember 2021’s Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions? Started out as Creed: Rise to Glory in VR back in 2018. They spun that into an arcade fighter, so adapting ain’t their first rodeo. Bet they’re hoping for another knockout.
