Sneak Peek of Wildgate Community Launching on May 9!

Wow, okay, so there’s this thing going on — Wildgate Community Preview. If you’re an Xbox Insider and you’ve got one of those shiny Xbox Series X|S consoles, you’re in luck. Or maybe not, if you’re all about surprises. Anyway, it kicks off May 9, 9:00 AM PDT (or 17:00 BST if you speak in those terms). Yeah, space is still up for grabs. Think of epic spaceship battles where you’re either showing off your mad skills or at least have a few juicy stories to share. Or maybe just bragging rights, if that’s your thing.

So, let’s hit some of the juicy parts. Key features, they say. I dig that. Imagine blasting your rivals with gadgets so high-tech they’d confuse a toaster. You could set weird traps or mess with their ships – as long as they’re not pulling the same tricks on you. The “perfect plan” might just fly out the window, but hey, winging it is a strategy too, right?

Every match is a new adventure. You’re navigating this place called the Reach – it’s huge, changes all the time, keeps you on your toes. Make sure to grab stuff before others do, or you might end up flying home with… well, nada.

Then there’s this whole unique prospector angle. Pick your player. Are you the fearless pilot or the sly trickster? Doesn’t matter – there’s no wrong way to cause space shenanigans.

Exploring the Reach sounds wild. There are cosmic storms and angry space critters, plus lost loot. Like space’s version of a treasure hunt but with more potential explosions.

The Artifact – it’s like the Holy Grail of the galaxy or something. Either nab it and make your exit, or blow up everyone else’s ships. Last one standing, FTW.

Oh, right — the playtest times. May 9, starts at the dawn of gaming (9:00 AM PDT), wraps up on May 12 in the evening (5:00 PM PDT, to be exact).

Getting involved is sorta standard. Fire up your Xbox Series X|S, hit the Xbox Insider Hub app (or grab it from the Store if you’ve been living under a virtual rock), and jump into Previews > Wildgate Community Preview. Click “Join” and boom, you’re on the list.

Just remember, the playtest kicks off May 9, so swing back by the Xbox Insider Hub then and hit “Show in Store” to start the download. You’ll get a friendly insider nudge when it’s go-time. But note, space is limited, first come, first served. So, jump on it if you can!
