Argath’s loathing for the less fortunate has never been clearer—seriously, it’s almost like you can feel it.
Okay, so here’s the deal. A Sony State of Play event just happened, and yeah, there were some nuggets for the good ol’ Switch crew in there. Honestly, not what I expected, but hey, surprises are fun, right?
So picture this: a remastered version of Final Fantasy Tactics! I mean, did anyone see that coming? This old gem from ’97—wait, maybe ’98?—on PlayStation, they’re dropping it September 30. It’s like a stroll down memory lane, but fancier. Oh, and here’s the kicker—Square Enix was like, “Hey, Switch and Switch 2, you’re getting this too!” Ivalice fans, rejoice! And yeah, if you remember those GBA and DS sequels, this is the OG making its Nintendo debut. Wild!
Switch is also getting some other goodies. There’s this hilariously named Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection coming in 2025. I say hilarious because “kollection”? Really? Anyway, they’re packing in the first four numbered games—yep, the bloody ones—from the early ‘90s, plus the “Ultimate” version of 3. Arcade, console—definitely something for the fans. Maybe there’ll be more added. Who knows?
And speaking of legends, IO Interactive gave us a peek at this James Bond game, “007 First Light.” Sounds James Bond-ish, right? It’s got a 2026 launch window for Switch 2, which seems forever away, but hey, patience is a virtue or something.
Oh, and get this—Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots—and yes, that’s the actual name—drops September 5. Pac-Man’s in it. As a golfer. Let that sink in…
Last but not least, from the creative wizards at The Game Kitchen and DotEmu, brace yourselves for Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on July 31. And guess what? The original NES music legends—Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, and Kaori Nakabai—are back at it on the soundtrack. I can almost hear those tunes now.
So there you have it, folks. Stuff’s happening!
