Oh man, here we go again. Today’s the big day! The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally here — been waiting for this, like, forever. I mean, if you planned ahead and snagged a pre-order, you might be one of the lucky ones clutching it right now. Didn’t reserve yours back in April? Yikes. You might be pacing nervously right now. It’s flying off the shelves, no joke.
So what’s the deal with Switch 2? Well, imagine the original Switch but on steroids. It’s bigger in a literally ‘grab your attention’ way — the Joy-Cons are like those oversized comedy props now, sort of. Oh, and that dock. Fancy facelift for sure. And bam, they even revamped the kickstand. Totally needed, if you ask me. Or did it? Hmm.
Bragging rights include this 7.9-inch screen, throwing 1080p your way. Like, what even is 720p anymore? And when you hook it up to the dock, it’s promising 4K gaming. Not sure my eyes can handle that, but let’s roll with it. Undocked, it’s boasting up to 120 frames per second. HDR too if the stars align. Who gets these ideas?
They’re selling it solo, or — little something for Mario Kart fans — bundled packages. Peripherals too, whatever that means in gamer speak. You’ll want to keep peeking in for the latest on pricing and whether it’s actually in stock anywhere.
And about buying one in the US? You’ve got your Walmart, GameStop, Newegg… the usual suspects like Best Buy and Target too. But I guess you knew that. Or did I just state the obvious? Anyway, time to hunt!
