Electronic Arts and PopCap Studios just shouted from the rooftops – or maybe just Twitter, who knows – that they’re releasing Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted for the Nintendo Switch 2. Yeah, the regular Switch too. It’s like a throwback, but with a snazzy makeover, you know? They’ve snazzed up the graphics to HD because apparently, everything looks better in HD. Plus, there’s local co-op and PvP. Sounds hectic, but also kind of fun, right? And new game modes? I mean, who doesn’t love “new” things?
I caught myself giggling over the features list they puked out – so if I remember right, there’s:
– Grab your buddy next door for some local co-op action or face off in PvP. Could end in chaos, but hey, that’s the point.
– Then there’s this Cloudy Day Mode. Not sure what it means, but it sounds like a brain teaser with sunlight restrictions. Might fry your neurons in a good way.
– Obviously, they’ll still have those quirky minigames. And, of course, that lane-defense setup which, honestly, I haven’t practiced since – gosh – last winter?
– Oh, and they’re teasing some secret archive stuff, too. Plants vs. Zombies, the backstage pass. Could be cool, or just, you know, a history lesson.
Mark your calendars if that’s still a thing people do. October 23, 2025, is when it all drops on the Nintendo eShop. Hope it doesn’t break the bank—though, does anything surprise us anymore?
Anyway, I might’ve seen a trailer somewhere, maybe YouTube? Or did I just dream that last night… Anyway! If screenshots are your thing, there might be a few floating around by now. Just sharing the chaos as I see it – or remember it. Either way, it’s a wild, forgettable ride waiting to happen.
